Week 12: Week 3 from the field--Sao Gabriel

I love Mondays, and I'm sure I will continue to love Mondays for the next 21 months! Much has happened today:

1. Lindsey, our second oldest, just learned that she is having a baby girl in March--baby Amelia Mae. Woo hoo! We are all excited. Congrats to Lindsey, Brian and Coleson.

2. We received an email from Zackary. Generally, he is doing well. Eating mostly beans and rice, but stating that he "loves it".

Here is an excerpt:

"Well, this week was one of those crazy weeks - and by that I mean crazy not good. We barely taught any lessons; a lot of our investigators were 'too busy', or a kid saying '[so-and-so] isn't here', or my favorite: 'I know what you are teaching is true, but I like my church.' Oh man, this week is going to be tiring as we bater portas, or tract, a lot to find some new investigators. On the bright side, we have our first two baptisms this week! Both, Christian and Camyla, are children of less-active families (different families) who are both very interested in the Church and have been coming to Church and activities even without their parents. I am very excited.

The Church is true; the work is the Lord's. It is crazy, I do not even want to think how fast these two years are going to go (especially after I learn this language)! I love you all."

Although his emails are sparse, we know that he has limited time on the internet each week. We are grateful for every morsel.

Until next week....
