A Chilling Bite . . .

I have been incognito for some time, but here is an excerpt from Zack's email entitled "A Chilling Bite . . ."

This week was . . . cold. The weather was bad this week with lots of rain and after the rain, just straight cold. The Brasilians haven't really learned the concept of insulation for housing, so the houses get cold and stay cold. I'll just say that it is really hard to get out of bed when your house is below freezing. But, other than that the week was good. It was very productive, and we taught many good lessons. We have some people who could be baptized this week, so we are very excited.

Nilda is a 76 year-old woman who is absolutely awesome. She wants to be baptized so bad and the only thing holding her back is the cold weather with her health. She is awesome though. Then we have Marlene, a 50 year-old woman who is blind and who has been going to church with her son for about 4 years and never was baptized. I think that everyone just thought that she was already a member, haha. Then we have Jessica, a 12 year-old who is really good friends with some members, has been going to church for 6 months and for some reason never was baptized. And last there is Fabiane, the daughter of the 1st counselor in the Primary who is 9 and never was baptized, haha. Então, basicamente é so jogar na agua com estas pessoas quando estiverem prontas, woohoo! They all could be baptized this week.

This is also the last week of the transfer, and probably my last with Elder Frei, which saddens me.
