This is Zack's email from last Monday entitled "Celebrate Good Times":
"Happy Birthday!!! To Mom, Benjamin and Spencer! I celebrated is a glorious fashion -tracting all week!
So yeah, this week was a lot of walking and a lot of knocking doors. Lately, we have been having a fault of new investigators here, so we decided to spend a week finding new people. It was successful, but with knocking doors you always have a great chance of them not letting you into their house again. So, we will see. This week was the baptism of Mário, and it was very, very good. The Spirit was very strong. It started a little bit late, so one of the people who was supposed to speak had to leave right after the physical baptism. I was asked to speak, in Portuguese, with 2 minutes of preparation, for 5 minutes about the Holy Ghost - and it was probably my best discourse in Portuguese, haha. It truly was very special. Another good point was that two of our investigators, Soilamar and her daughter, Miriã, came to church for the first time and are progressing towards their baptisms. This is the last week of the transfer, so I may not see the results of their teaching, but so it goes...
Mom, give my condolences to Sister Avery. I was her home teacher for many years. I would also like to thank you for teaching me manners, and leave it at that...
Thanks for everything, all is well.
Com Amor,
Elder Burnham
'Like a lamb to the slaughter
I willingly go
And I for my Father
His strength fills my soul
I've lived for my Savior
And I'll die for Him too
And with humble heart
I lay down my life
A prophet of truth!'
(A Song about Joseph Smith that I really like.)"
Thank you to everyone for your love and support.
