Week 37 from Santa Maria

Here is an excerpt from Zack's last email, entitled "Wii" (since he just learned that Alivia received a Wii for her birthday:

This last week was much better than the previous. It felt as though we were very productive in our work and a new vision of how to work more effectively in this area; and it paid with good results. We had Zone Conference this week. It was the best yet. Sister Myrrha gave a training on the Plan of Salvation. It was spectacular. She spoke to us as missionaries instead of how we should go about teaching our investigators. It was very cool because we talked about deeper doctrines that gave us better understanding of the Plan and how/why it is so important to teach these people. We have the baptism of Mari this Saturday and I am very excited for that. There is a chance that another could also be baptized, but no done deal yet. Our mission is more about the week of baptisms than the long planned out ones. One more week in this transfer. I am pretty sure that I am leaving this area - which is both sad and good. I guess we'll just wait and see.

Mom, the office is treating me fine. The weather is starting to get cold here. Yesterday was exactly like a day in Seattle - wet ground, chilly air, grey sky, nice. I liked your letter in Portuguese. It was cool. Of course, I have been sick, but never really sick or missed a day of work. But all those times are long passed and no, I will never say anything.
