Happy Birthday, Catherine

For my birthday this past January, Jeff fixed me a big, fresh breakfast. He said that Kirs and family would be coming over, too. Imagine my surprise whenLin and kids walked in. Kirs and Luke were so very kind (and very generous) to fly Lin in with the kids as a surprise for me. By the way, Jeff has no idea that Lin and fam would be here.

We enjoyed a great breakfast--thanks, Jeff--and opened gifts. We then headed to Alivia's dance recital. It was a great day!

. . . with lots of help! I received a bag full of paper hearts, drawings and notes about what the grandkids love about Puppy. Here is a sampling:

• because we go feed the ducks
• she has two cool flashlights
• she takes me places and I show her how to ride my bike
• she takes us to the park
• "nama's house"
• "nandy" (candy); and, of course,
• she makes cool forts!
