Grandkids and Fun, Part III

On July 18, 2009, I took the two older grandkids to the Bloedel Reserve for the "Book-It" performance of Jungle Book. I had a great time, and I think that the kids enjoyed it, also. I know that they absolutely loved the ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island.

On the drive home Willie said: "Grandma, I'm going to throw up." We were getting close to home, so I asked him if his tummy just hurt or if he was really going to get sick. He said he was going to get sick. Luckily, there was a syrup jar (clean and empty) right next to me, so I took the lid off and handed it to him. He proceeded to throw up--neatly and quietly--in the jar. I put the lid on (all this while I was driving, mind you) and handed it back to him. Upon handing the jar back to Willie, he took it and uttered: "Sweeeeeet".

Now, my husband will be the first to tell you that throw up and I do not get along well. However, I am very proud to announce that I held it together.

Here are some pictures of our adventure:

Willie, ever the kind boy, said: "We have to take Gus and Sam on this ferry. They would love it!

The following week, Grandpa took all the kids. Willie had fun showing Gus the lay of the land aboard the ferry!
