The last Zone Conferences of President and Sister [Myrrha] have passed. We spent the last two weeks traveling and giving the conferences. I had my official last interview with President also yesterday; though, if I want to talk to him again I can. I can hardly believe that they are in their last month.
The conferences were great. Elder Reis and I gave a training on "Recognizing the Spirit", using an activity in Preach My Gospel. Many missionaries shared their own experiences on how the Spirit helped them on the mission; it was very spiritual. I also had a great experience with it in Cruz Alta. I love that city, and I probably only have one more opportunity to go there while here on the mission.
We also had the baptism of Leonardo, and it was great. We are now teaching some of Cleusa's other children, so that is great. They went to the baptism and to church and liked it. Roberto and Edimara are still smoking and Roberto has been traveling a lot, but they are going to church and reading the Book of Mormon. Roberto even brought it on his trips. Edimara says that where we have already gotten with him is a miracle. She is the most elect woman ever; everything is a testimony to her and she recognizes so easily that this is true. Jamile has taken a step back, thinking that she doesn't know what to do and that she won't be able to keep the commandments. I had a cool experience in which the Spirit told me exactly what her problems and doubts were, and she was kind of amazed at how I knew. The moral decay of Brasil is very deep, so for people her age it is hard to follow the guidelines of the Lord, if is isn't hard enough in the States. But, she is a very good girl and she has made friends in the Church. Now, she just has to receive a testimony that it is necessary. Pray for them all...
That is crazy that Spencer is going to the MTC now. Man, how time passes. Dane and Morgan will have a year in just a little bit. I am glad that the chapel had so many visiters and friends. I hope the Missionaries got a bunch of references. I love this work. It is true...
