The Cat Will Play

I have beautiful daughters, and I just love it when they are all here together. Usually, when the cat is away, the mice will play. However, this Christmas the Cat will play. I have written a Christmas poem for my daughters.

Day Twenty-Six

The day is soon coming with drummers a drumming,
And thereafter will be a twig from our tree.

Featured that day as soon you will see
Are only those lovely three born of me.

So, be prepared on that day twenty-six
when I will come and you I will pick.

Have with you those items that everyone needs
for one night (and day) away from your seeds.

Toiletries, nightclothes and casual dressy,
Hopefully we will not get too messy.

Hair ties and make-up and books for relaxing
I want to ensure there is nothing too taxing.

No husbands, no kids, just girls having fun
With no concerns that will cause you to run.

Nursing babies are welcome until one pm
Then daddy must come and assume duty bm.

The choice is all yours, you're grown-ups and how
but I'll need to know to accommodate now.

I'll see you on Christmas and day twenty-six
When I will come and you I will pick.
