The Cat Song

Hey, Girls! Do you remember one of Dad's all-time favorite Christmas songs? The one about the cold, snowy evening? Remember that the cat couldn't get inside, but she used her fur to keep a mouse warm? As beautiful as snow can be, it sometimes ruins the best laid plans.

Poem No. 2

My earlier poem of day twenty-six
'Twas said it would be you I would pick.

Plan A and Plan B were best laid I know
However, I did not plan on so much darn snow.

Plan C has arrived, but with a few hitches
First we will talk about your twenty-sixth britches.

Make them comfy and loose--sweats would be good
Coupled with t-shirt and sweater with optional hood.

We will do brunch and also we'll sup
If you want to change outfits with that I am up.

Casual dressy is still needed for day twenty-seven.
With pjs for sleeping in a bit of heaven.

With both morning and evening for feeding the baby
Travel time is built in so it won't get to crazy.

Remember your pleasures for private relaxing
We will keep it simple so only light packing.

Stress will run low while excitement runs high
I am eager and ready for the day to draw nigh.
