High School...Well, Sort of

Alivia started ninth grade on September 2, 2008...yikes! Although she is technically a high school student, our ninth grade is still at the Junior High. I must admit that I was quite teary-eyed when the next day I saw tiny little boys and girls walking to the elementary school. I couldn't help but see Kirstin, Lindsey, Zackary and "little" Alivia reflected in those children. My, oh, my -- where did the time go?

Alivia is a very busy girl this year! Besides piano and violin, she is volunteering at "Little Bit" in Redmond (a theraputic riding facility that works with developmentally and physically disabled individuals); she is a mentor, helping the seventh grade students; she is an ASB representative; and she'll play basketball and volleyball when it rolls around--not to mention her Church responsibilities. She is amazingly capable, however, so she'll be just fine.
