Bloedel Reserve

Yesterday, Jeff took Alivia and I to the Bloedel Reserve. The Reserve is a 150 acre tract that belonged first to the Collins family. It was abandoned for 14 years and later sold to the Bloedels--who became great conservationists. I love birds, nature, and long walks, so Jeff thought it would be a perfect Saturday outing. He was right! I absolutely adored the day.

Open to the public, there is a two mile nature walk that includes a bird refuge, boardwalk, trestle bridge, Japanese Garden, moss garden, and the Bloedel home. We didn't see many birds, but the walk was amazing. We even bought an annual membership so that I can go back again and again. We had wonderful weather, and it was a wonderful family day.
