Week 3 from Sao Paulo

We received our third email this morning. Zack is doing well and is enjoying the experience immensely. This week he sent us some pictures, but I am having trouble uploading them, so I will post some later.

His email was short, answering a few questions and giving little information. However, he stated, in part:

"This week went by very, very fast. Time is definitely speeding up. Around the MTC, I don't feel like one of the new guys. Our Brazilian roommates left this week, which was a sad and happy experience. Some of them were crying. They are great guys and made the hall a lot of fun. They will be great missionaries. The Tuesday night devotional hosted Bishop Edgely (spellcheck!) of the Presiding Bishopric. It was a fantastic and spirit filled message."

The Brazilian roommates left for the mission field prior to the American missionaries because they already know the language, so their training is shorter.

We wait each week to hear from him, and I think about him at least a gazillion times a day. I wonder if there will ever come a time during this two years that I won't be waiting patiently (or impatiently) for his next email. Luckily, I have been in contact with the other "missionary moms" (the Mothers of the other missionaries in his district), so we chat via email and send information one to another.

The picture below is the view of Sao Paulo from Zack's room:
