Amelia . . .

Elder Burnham and Elder Wiscomb
Thanksgiving Dinner

Elder Burnham, November 30, 2009 . . .

It is so wonderful to hear that Amelia is doing better and that everything is looking positive. I saw the email from Brian about the Amelia update, and, as such, found out that she had the tumor. Needless to say, I have not slept since that night, and it was a great relief to know that she is recovering.

I am writing you again from Santa Maria. I am actually in the Lan House of Mari, who I baptized here 8 months ago, and it was awesome to talk to her and hear that she is still going strong and that her daughter sang in the Primary Program yesterday! Elder Zequini and I are here for the Council with President -- this time being trained specifically by President. I am very excited to learn more from him in these two days.

This last week was good. Elder Zequini is really cool and we get along really well. I spent most of the week just introducing him to the members and our investigators and showing him the area. This week I already have to leave him alone as I go and do divisions in another city, QuaraĆ. So, it was a good week.

I gave a training to the zone, to get them excited for the new transfer, about the three phrases that Christ (acting also as Jehovah) used the most in the Bible, in various forms, which are: ask and ye shall receive, be of good cheer, and be not afraid. It was good and everyone was really excited. My companion followed it up with a training about unity between the missionaries in the Zone. It was great and this will be a great transfer. President changed everything in the Zone, and sent some really good missionaries, which I am very grateful for. We finished with a "Thanksgiving" Feast of pizza from Uruguai - Classic.

Lin, Amelia will be in my prayers, you can count on that. Don't worry, all will turn out well.

I love you all and you are in my prayers. Please send me updates about anything that is happening with Amelia!

Com Amor,
Elder Burnham

P.S. -- Photo - Eating pizza from Uruguai on a division with Elder Wiscomb! In Uruguai, there is an American store where I bought BBQ Sauce!!!
