No More Christmas . . .

Elder Burnham, December 28, 2009:

"Well, I am officially old on the mission. Both of my Christmases have passed and now it is just a short downhill ride. But, I still have so much time and I hope it doesn't pass too fast! All I know is that it is going to be challenging, but the challenges bring the greatest growth.

Christmas was great! It was great to talk to you guys and hear your voices. I had forgotten all but Dad and Mom, though Mom's was a little bit different than I remembered. It was crazy to talk with the kids, especially Gus, nossa. We passed the night before Christmas at our bishop's house and it was great. They are such an awesome family and there was some good food.

As a District, we spent Christmas together in the Church. One person received his/her phone call while the others ate or played games and stuff like that. I want to thank you all for the presents and packages. Thank you Calvert family for the CD! It is so cool that Spencer is singing in the choir with Brian, haha. Spencer, your talk was really good by the way. Anyway, Christmas was fun, though very different than home.

The week was not so good. Holiday's . . . don't make this time of year very good for missionary work. I love Livramento, but it looks like my time here is coming to an end. Transfers are next week, and I don't want to go.

I love you all so much. Have a great week!

Com Amor,
Elder Burnham"
