January 4, 2009, Elder Burnham:
I live for Monday morning. I get up early and get Alivia off to Seminary. I head off to work where I eagerly check email throughout the day awaiting Elder Burnham's weekly update. (By the way, when I took this job I explained to my boss that he should expect to find me checking my emails every Monday. He is cool with it--he himself served a full-time mission in Brasil.
This Monday, however, I did not get an email! When Elder Burnham first departed, a dear friend warned me that I should not be concerned if an email did not arrive on an assigned day as it was probably nothing more than a transfer, conference, etc. Thank you, Shanna!
I knew it was transfer week, so I figured that he was just too busy, or enroute to a new area, and could not get to a computer for email. I was right, sortof.
Early Monday evening we received a three sentence email from. He simply said that he had been transferred, was extremely busy, and that his P-day was changed to SATURDAY!
I have now officially ended my love affair with Monday in favor of Saturday.
