Three Countries . . .

Saturday, January 30, 2010, from Elder Burnham:

[Editor's Note: Since the start of his mission, he has had the privilege of being in Brasil, Uruguay and now, Argentina.]

Well, this was probably one of the most tiresome weeks of my entire mission. We left Monday afternoon from Santa Maria for Uruguaiana to start off the last round of Zone Conferences. That night, we went to Argentina to visit the city of Libras and ate dinner and all that stuff. I have officially now passed in 3 countries throughout the course of my mission. Then we had zone conference Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Uruguaiana, Alegrete and Livramento, respectively. They we all very good and it was wonderful to see some old freinds and companions.

[Answering his mother's question]: My responsibility at the conferences was to conduct a debate about how to teach the lesson of the Book of Mormon, and also a training on how to find new investigators, in which I used parts of a Discovery Channel series called, "Deadliest Catch," about fishing crabs.

We arrived late on Thursday night back in Santa Maria. The travels were great, though tiresome, as I could talk with President and Sister and hear stories and councils from their lives (even the story of how they met, haha. President is the man!).

So, as far as the work goes, all is well. This Sunday we will have the baptisms of two women, Analia, who is the mom of the others who were baptized recently, and Cleusa, who is a mother of 7 children and who is a true example of repentance and will to change for the better.

I love you all. Tell Elder Hammer that he needs to respond to my letter, haha. I also need Elder Bergstrom's address. I don't think that I have it.

Com Amor,
Elder Burnham
