Summer is Returning . . .

Last week's email from Elder Burnham (sorry I was late in posting):

Man, this week was hot! I am completely burnt and my nose hurts really bad. We spent the day at the lake that is in our area playing soccer and taco (cricket/baseball thing) and taking pictures. I am red - but it was super fun; but, I am not very excited for the summer and sweat again.

Well, this week was one of the most tiring of my mission. On Monday and Tuesday we went to Santa Maria for the Council of the LZ's with President and it was awesome! It was incredibly spiritual and I was able to learn so many things. President speaks much more openly there and there was power in the room as we sang the hymns and shared experiences. But, that also meant two 6.5 hour trips to and from Livramento. Then, on Wednesday we went to Quarai, a city in our zone, to give a training and to do a division which meant more travel still. So, we actually started working halfway through Wednesday. It was crazy because I still do not know the area, and I had to try and find myself and still teach, but it was good and worth it because on Sunday we had 4 baptisms! Junior, Luana, Sonia and Jenifer were baptized and it was awesome! Everyone in white. I made cookies for the baptism and everyone liked them. So, in the end, all the tiresome days and travels were completely worth it...

Love you all, thank you for everything!

Com Amor,
Elder Burnham
